10,000 Visions of Cleveland
Official Rules for Entry
1. 10,000 Visions of Cleveland is a competition among Northeast Ohio residents to identify their vision (“Vision”) for a vibrant Cleveland through on online submission process. 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership will award a $1,000 prize for the best Vision. The Competition begins on July 21, 2008 and ends on September 6, 2008. Cash prizes will be awarded on or before September 20, 2008.
2. Competition entrants agree to abide by the terms of these Official Rules and by the decisions of 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership Competition judges which are final on all matters pertaining to the Competition. Employees of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, its subsidiaries and/or affiliates are not eligible to enter. Limit one Plan entry per person, whether individually or as a group or as part of any type of business entity.
- 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership will award a total of one (1) cash prize as outlined below.
- Grand Prize – One (1) Grand Prize Winner will be selected from submissions. The Competition winner will receive $1,000 Cash Grand Prize for the top Vision. The Grand Prize Winner will also have the opportunity to discuss their vision with select community leaders as determined by 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership. In order to be eligible to receive a prize, the winner must attend the event on September 6, 2008, must sign a release for use of their name, and for use of their likeness or the likeness of their business in any photograph or advertisement for 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership in order to accept the prize. All taxes, fees, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Winners may elect not to accept certain prizes at their sole discretion. Prizes are not assignable or transferable. Winner of the Competition must also agree to be interviewed by a reporter(s) and/or photographed by photographer(s) selected by the 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership and must also consent to publication of all information gathered by such reporter and photographer. Cash Prizes will be awarded in the name of the individual in which the Vision was submitted upon receipt, within x days after the contestant receives notice of winning, of the social security identification number for the applicable winner. Non-compliance with any of the time periods set forth herein may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
4. 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Competition, or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules.
5. Plans must be submitted in the format contained on the Web site www.10000VisionsofCleveland.com.
6. All Visions will be reviewed through a dual review process. Volunteers will recommend Visions to a panel consisting of independent volunteers from the 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership staff members who will make the final award decisions for the Vision. Visions will be reviewed for creativity and feasibility of the Vision. The decision of the judges is final. Winners will be notified via email. Return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner.
7. Vision entries will not be returned to the entrant. One copy will be retained by 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership for archival purposes. 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and the Greater Cleveland Partnership are not responsible for any delay, error, omission, interruption, theft, destruction, alteration, or unauthorized publication or use of entries. If, for any reason, the contest is not capable of operating as planned, due to any cause beyond the control of 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and/or the Greater Cleveland Partnership which might affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, 10,000 Little (micro) Ideas and/or the Greater Cleveland Partnership reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.
